OK, I got back into a vette, a beautiful 2003 MY Z06 with 19K miles. I might want to trailer it behind my Dodge Grand Caravan to take on trips with family.
Car = 3400 lbs, even a featherlite aluminum trailer = 1200 lbs, hitch and accssys. another 100 lbs. Guaranteed that the tow capacity of the minivan is not 4700 lbs. Very bad idea to try to tow the vette behind the van.
The Corvette and trailer will be trying to push the rear of your van around. I have been towing with a trailer since 1975. If you do pull the car with the van make sure your trailer brakes are working.
Don't do it with a minivan. If the trailer is balanced with little tong weight you will be vulnerable to resonant gyrations when slowing down and the trailer will tend to overtake the tow vehicle causing the rear of the tow vehicle to spin around resembling a "pit maneuver". I have witnessed this on the highway (not pretty). If you have more tong weight then you will overload minivan rear axle. Support American workers get a crew cab dually.

You are absolutely right. Towing capacity only 3,600 lbs.
I've trailered my 'Vette twice with a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 4.7l V8 and towing package. It was pretty rough both times. The Jeep is rated to tow 5000 lbs, and the Vette + trailer is about 5300 lbs. I would not tow a corvette with anything that has a towing capacity of under 7-8K lbs IMO, you can do it but it won't be fun!
