I just finished replacing my harmonic balancer on my 98 coupe got it down off the stands drove it around washed it. Everything seemed great i couldn't be happier. The next morning this morning im about to pull out of my driveway i saw my check guages light on and i had no oil pressure.i quickly shut the car off.i thought it may be the sending unit so i started it back up to see if i heard anything and i heard lifters tapping.is there anything beside the oil pump that can cause this because im not looking forward to tear down again already
If you did not hear any abnormal engine noise with the zero pressure I am betting your sensor bit (or is currently biting) the dust. Several threads available about how to replace that piece. Pretty low cost item and not a lot of labor involved depending on which option you choose to replace it. That is indeed bad luck that it would go right after you replaced the harmonic balancer.

Darn, that would possibly mean real bad luck. Sorry to hear that. You have now approached a level of being out of my league. The real experts will chime in soon. I have replaced oil pumps several times, but not on these cars.
