tire size help

im in need of new front tires. what size tire am i supposed to get? seems like my front tires are very tall. currently im running 275/40/17. is this the correct sized tire? what would be a shorter option that will still look good and maybe even lower the front a little

Your shorter options are 265/40-17 and 255/40-17. If you want the front to be lower, do it the correct way - adjust the ride height bolts.
