Cable behind passenger seat
Hello,
Does someone know the function of these cables ?
They are screwed on the sliding bars and go inside the back of the seat
Thanks for your lights

That is not stock. I'm not sure what purpose the cable serves; an attempt remove wrinkles and pull the seat cover taut?

I just replaced my seats today and saw no such cables on my stock seats.
Whatever those cables are doing, I imagine they're doing something useful, so I wouldn't mess with them.

Maybe it's a Euro requirement from GM. I've never seen that before. Stabilizes seat before ejection?

Take it apart and find out is about the only way you are going to find out.

It could very well be a requirement for export cars. Is your Z06 an export car??
I have never seen cables like that on a C5.

I know I've never seen those on any of the three C5s I've owned.

Hi,
this is not on mine but on a friend's C5 (not Z06)
The Z06 has never been exported to Europe...too bad for us.
Thanks to all of you for your sense of humor, I like it
and to all other answers.
It's maybe a solution found by the previous owner to fix the problem known on the back of the seat

Add two more to that list. I'll even throw in a C4 for good measure. None of 'em had anything like that.
