Default Hankooks installed....

....and, WOW! Can't believe the difference in road noise. These tires are MUCH quieter than those wore out Kumhos. Turns out that the alignment was off pretty bad too, especially the toe. I hope these tires wear as good as they look and ride; I can't imagine a set of $1000.00 Michelins being any quieter.

Hankook makes some really good tires for the money. I have them on mine and really like them.

The high performance summer version, Ventus V12 Evo, I believe. Pretty happy so far.

I am running the same tires and really like them. They are great in the wet and have a great mix between tread life and a softer compound! Can't beat it for the price. Sure there are stickier tires out there but to what limits will most users push them to...

Got some Hankook's on my 56 truck and like them. Thinking about the V12's for my C5 too.

I just put a set of these on my 99. Still had original GY run flats. I got these installed otd from discount tire for $778, plus $75 rebate. That also included rebuilding the tpms sensors. All that I can say is what a difference, SO much better! I kinda roll the dice with the non run flats but I have AAA and my vette is just a toy. If you are in a similar situation, I wouldn't hesitate a split second with these, the confidence and comfort for me is phenomenal.

Congrats on the new rubber. Glad you like them, but you had the original GY run flats still on your car? 14 year old tires? My goodness.

When did you get them? I was told the current rebate program doesn't cover the V12s...

At any rate, mine went on Friday: huge improvement over the GY runflats. As far as wear goes, I put about 12K on a set on my previous car (Porsche Boxster S, not known for being easy on tires), and had maybe 60% tread left when I switched to the C5.

Yeah, the rebate works... Well haven't gotten the check yet, but its in the mail.. Lol. $778 total price is still very reasonable for 4 tires. Actually the originals were 15 years old, I bought a very pampered baby last year, but didn't trust the tires even though they had a ton of traction left. I was fairly certain they were original and discount tire confirmed.

I put some v12's on last fall, they handle great and I got 80.00 rebate and free alignment too. No complaint great tire for the money.
