Will be worth when it is 46 years old?
Here is a C2 that just sold for 3.2 million on Mecum.
And it was drove hard and put away wet.
Unreal.

Not much unless a lot of C5s disappear over the years.

Unfortunately, none of our C5s are as rare as this C2. (1 of 20 built in 1967)

If you find one with all the onboard computers still working in 46 years, it may be worth a lot in parts.

I can't imagine any C5 being worth that kind of money. They're too common, and tons of them are babied with low miles that its not rare to find one in that condition.

Not to mention, but the time C5s are 40-50 years old, gas will probably be $10 a gallon.

Gas will be unavailable if Obummer hits Syria.

I will take $100K for my C5 tonight and I will sell it full of 93 Octane and some carwash tokens.

Default Might be worth more than you think.....

Remember that the C5 is the LAST model with hidden headlights. It is also the FIRST model with the trans in the rear. The C7 still has the same layout. The secret is to keep all of the original parts.

In 33 years I imagine there will still be auctions and plenty of alcoholics with more money than brains... not worried.

I didn't buy a C5 with that in mind, drive it! The Camaro for $530k was cool but why? Full circle why I added a C5 to my small collection of cars they are a lot of bang for the buck.

This is why it fetched so much MONEY

this L88 convertible is presented in its full glory, including the L88 427/430 HP engine, M22 “Rock Crusher” 4-speed manual transmission, 4.11 rear end, J56 heavy duty brakes and J50 power brakes, factory side exhaust and F41 Special Suspension; it is also believed to be the only 1967 L88 convertible to retain its original body panels. Winner of a Regional NCRS Top Flight award in 1997, it was also a participant in the 2008 Bloomington Gold L88 Invasion. Documentation for this rare first-year L88 convertible includes the tank sticker, vintage racing photographs and time slips, including the first one issued after its maiden run at Puyallup Dragway.

As for the color here it is

Marlboro Maroon with Black stinger

Yeah, there won't be big collector bucks for a LONG time if ever, but they will always carry a good used car value if kept in reasonable shapeThinking they may be approaching the bottom in the price range and will begin leveling out. They have a great body style good performance and comfort,,,,AND you can still do some of your own work on them. Newer ones are getting more and more tech crazy.

Gas may be $10 a gallon,,but minimum wage might be $20 per hour too!!

doubtful. when we come to the point that global oil supply starts on the downside of the bellcurve all bets are off on how freaked out people and the markets get

as for the c5. all depends on support. if gasoline is reasonable to any degree and the aftermarket keeps them going i could see the AE vert and z16 bringing some money to the right person

low mileage supras already are appreciating

that said if there is any early-mid 2000s car i could see being worth a LOT it's the ford gt

Less than I put into it!

But then again, the same goes for most of the "investment" purchases I've made as of late.
