Took my 99 C5 out for her first long trip. The fuel gauge dropped to E about 75-100 miles after first fill up.
Stopped to make sure nothing was leaking, and when i started the car the gauge went back to 3/4. Never happened again until my return trip, and was about 3/4 when it happened again, but came back on
a little later. The next time it went to E it again it came back on when I started the car the next time.
Search and you will see that the sensors get corrupted by high sulphur gas. Might take a few doses and tankfuls to clear it up. Use one or the other not both at the same rime.
