Not sure if the headlight gear motor is going or just loose but when I put the lights down the front left one clicks for a few seconds like its either vibrations or the plastic is grinding. Anyone have experience with this?
The nylon drive gear teeth are stripping out. Very common problem that can be easily fixed. You will also notice that your headlights will pop up when turning on your parking lights. But the headlights will not be on. Caused by the stripping gear drive of the headlight motor.

And don't be scared if you aren't a "mechanic". I replaced both of my gears with brass a couple of years ago and it was pretty straightforward. Been working great ever since.

I just did both of mine a couple weeks ago...pretty straight forward, just follow directions. I upgraded my OEM lights to HID Projectors while I was at it too.
Purchase from Rodney Dickman on the web. It is sold as a complete kit...includes the brass gear, grease, epoxy, the T brace and complete pictured instructions.
