Default About the wave.....

It's Awesome!!!!! Being a new 'Vette owner, the first few times I got the wave it gave me chills, and it always makes my day. I just want to say it is great to be a part of the Corvette Family!

Save the wave!

This subject has enjoyed quite a wave of popularity on this forum, from joyful observations such as yours, to downright outrage when their waves are not returned.

I wonder how often waves that appear to have not been returned were either returned too late to see, or just could not be seen through the glass.

My windows are usually open, and I wave out the window. If my window is closed, occasionally I flash my lights. People may not wave back, at least not that I can always see anyway, but you can't miss mine.

The wave, a sign of being part of a very special community. I completely enjoy it and apologize to anyone I may have unintentionally missed.

In over three million miles driving all kinds of trucks and cars, nothing beats the waves I get and give in 60,000 miles of driving my Vette!

After what happened this morning, I'm sure a lot of the waves I've given are simply returned too late too see.

I was on my way to work this morning and a C6 turned left in front of me. He gave me a wave, but I did not see him until he'd turned past me. I waved back, but there was no way he could see me.

Still, it's cool to be part of the Corvette club. (4-weeks and counting...)

I wave if I see another Corvette in time. Sometimes it is just too late to wave though. Good that you are keeping the tradition alive.

I have noticed motorcycle riders have their own wave also.

I do have to say that here in the Mobile area, there are a few 'Vette drivers that aren't in on the wave. Gonna have to bring my whoopin' stick for 'em...

Since Monday ( 5 days ) I have passed 12 Corvettes: 5 C5's, 4 C4's, and 3 C6's. lots of smiles and lots of waves from all 12. it has been a nice week here. seems the C4 guys are the youngest in this group, the C5 and C6 guys for the most part were in the 55 to 70 age. at least we were going slow enough around town to see their faces clearly.
most people who own Corvettes in this area wave.. I rarely pass a Corvette that doesn't flash lights or wave. I've been literally waving for 50 years.

The next time you're following a school bus, watch the driver of a oncoming school bus. I can almost guarantee you'll see a wave.

I'll bet even Prius drivers wave at each other.

The wave is not just a corvette thing, HotRoder's and classic car guys
have been waving and giving the sense the begging of the automobile. I think its great no matter what you drive. In the south everyone waves to everyone all the time........
