It feels so good to get a ton a compliments from fellow vet owners. I've been thinking of selling my C5 and getting a C6,that is until this weekend. I've been at Vets and Jets on the Lex all weekend and having C6 owners come up and saying how awesome my C5 is. Man what a great feeling that is,I was also he only MSG on there and a lot loved that color. Thank you all and be safe going home,L8R ZFLASH

Last week I had a guy in a mini van behind me honk at me, then pull up beside me on my pass side.
Yell in my window "F**kn' sweet Corvette man ! " ...
Always nice to hear since its 9.5 yrs old....
I agree.im used to the car when I drive it everyday.but when a car full of kids arejawdropped next to me or a guy in a store compliments me when im pumping gas.feels good
I recently cleaned up my 02 vert, gave it a little tune-up. passed Texas inspection and started to enjoy it again. I've been getting all kinds of compliments. I forgot how good that feels when people appreciate your "interpretation" of this car and go out of their way to tell you so!
Yesterday a local police officer stopped to admire my car. He couldn't believe my car was 15 years old.Took some pics and then sent them to him later. I feel proud when I get comp like that .

I was getting gas the other day and a guy at the next pump asked me how much I paid for my car. Personally, that's really none of your business, was my first thought....(I just finished washing it) So I just said I got the deal I wanted price wise. Then he says "what, like 50 grand?" Um..... Wow, that totally threw me for a loop. I told him it was a 2000, not even close. He complimented me on it, took a quick walk around it and then went on his way. It's flattering to have people think that way about these cars.
Its a stereotype that you have to be rich.my friend thinks im a millionaire becausr I have one.or people think they are horrid on gas.when I go to houston I average 31 mpg.
But it does feel good to have people walk around your car.congrats!!!!!

I've thought about selling mine from time-to-time, but seldom do I take it out that someone doesn't compliment me on it or give me a thumbs up. Admittedly, it's great for my ego and reminds me that even though my car is nearly 16 years old, it still looks pretty darn good.
