anyone planning on going to Mid America in Effingham,Il for fun fest this week????????

Actually over the years,they have had great weather for the VAST majority of their outings. True there have been a few that looked like a mud bog contest. A tip if there is rain,,,TURN OFF TRACTION CONTROL!!! I had the wife stand at an opening with a flash light that routed me away from the main mud tracks and I made it find with T/C OFF. A buddy went through the mud,and was just about to reach pavement when his T/C kicked in and killed his momentum. Resulted in almost an hour wait for a tow to get out. Just something to keep in the back of the old brain file

!
We will be up there Saturday with the Lookinglass C C of So.Il from the Belleville,Highland O'Fallon area. The Mid West has been baking for a while now so it should absorb a little rain,,,,I HOPE!!

Planning on leaving Friday and staying overnight and going back on Saturday, which looks like may be the nice of the two days.

Entertainment this year looks good again...Bachman and Turner...so there will be some good BTO tunes and maybe some Guess Who hits as well!

I stay at the days inn in Charleston about 25-30 miles away. You might try there. I got a $50 a night stay with an advance 7 day reservation.

We are about 100 miles south, so we just drive up for the day,,,we usually just do Saturday.

I missed it last year...but the previous years they had Corvette Forum parking with a form from here...I have the one from 2 yrs ago, don't know if the *Forum* has an updated version or not
