Default Starting problem

My C5-Z06 will not start and the battery is charged. I have found that when I loosen the negative battery terminal and reposition it, the circuits connect, clicking sound, and the vette will start. I don't know if the problem is the negative cable or something more complicated.. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you considered cleaning the connections at the battery with a wire brush (w/eye protection)?

Hi, thanks. I have cleaned the terminals. It seems as though the charging system goes to sleep, and the reconnect jolts the system, so it starts. I know that this sounds a little unscientific, but that seems to be the way it works. Fortunately, I discovered that the reconnect of the negative terminal works. I have the windshield wiper and steering column gremlins behind me I hope. Thanks for your input.

Are there any trouble codes when attempting to start the car under no start conditions? Is there a message in the user interface screen during no start conditions? I had this problem when my steering column was giving me trouble when i first bought my 03 back in 2009. Supposedly the steering column had been "fixed" but apparently the "repair" didn't last. Ended up replacing the steering lock solenoid.
