I top flew off last year, I got a refurbished gm roof. When Im doing highway speeds on a curve and the car flexes it makes a horrible sharp noise. Any idea how to fix it. Tighten the clasps or loosen then? Thanks guys
Its the plexiglass not painted one. The frame is a refurb gm the glass in aftermarket. Could it be possible that the locks are too tight or too loose to make this noise. Its like someone takes a hammer to the latches.
Hacksaw, baby. Convertibles are good, and you are already half way there.
Or you could make a pick up. I've seen two of those in my life, and rode in the back of one speeding high up into the hills above SAn FRan one night. The guy had custom everything as far as paint went, we didn't talk about the rest. I still regret telling the guy I had seen another corvette el camino down by LA. The guy was really bummed about that.
You could be the third one, I here opportunity knocking n that noise.
The two targa weather strips are 700 dollars plus install. Do they make aftermarket weatherstriping that is worth a crap or just go to the chevy dealer and eat it. Just wondering..I have the old ones from my old broken top, they are usless right?
