Default Question about ZIP lowering bolts

I was in the process of installing rear bolts with the kit, and I wondered if the kit was meant to use the stock bushings on their bolts or just install it with the washers the kit came with? at first I thought of installing it without the bushings at all (top or bottom) and I havent really talked with anyone about the lowering kits yet, but it seems like that could possibly damage the leaf spring if I were to install it without the lower bushing. Also does anyone run their rear lowering bolts at the lowest setting (meaning the nut would be flush with the top thread and the nuts head)?
Thanks.

You must use the bushing, otherwise the bare metal will damage the spring.
