I'm a newbie to C5's and have 2 questions
1) why do some models have a smooth side door recess and others appear to have a ridge from the front wheel well going towards the rear - roughly half way down & slowly disappearing
2) The Heads Up Display came available in what year & was it packaged?
I'm looking to buy one & am trying to sort these 2 things out.
I would like a 2003 (flexibility) with HUD & Auto (old guy now ) in Silver, white, blue or light Carmine as my wife has some say ...
Suggestions on problems to look out for and comport upgrades like xm radio or bluetooth hands free
Thanks,
Wally
1. The Body Side Molding (BSM) is option B84 ($150)
2. The HUD is option UV6...I don't know when it was first available, maybe MY2000 or so. It was also part of option package 1SB starting in 2003; FWIW just about every '03-'04 base-model C5 I looked at had that package, which included the sport seats, seat memory, auto A/C, and a bunch of other minor stuff.
