On the car I just bought only the left half of the cluster lights up. At night I can't see the speedo, volt or gas guage. Good thing for HUD or I would have been screwed on my ride home. I am hoping you can replace the bulbs/lamps or am I screwed and need a whole cluster.

Your IPC has two UV lights and those things hardly ever go bad. If it were me, I would buy a good used IPC and remove the LH light tube and re-install it in my IPC so my mileage would not be unaffected.
Here's a picture of a partially disassembled IPC that shows the Ultra-violet light tube you would need. It's the thin, vertical, piece with the "honeycomb grid" looking covering on it.
This picture btw, came from an IPC someone has on "the bay" right now for $75 OBO. Of course it's "as is", so......... Item # 261296074306 Seller: "ness1929"

Hopefully it is only the light. Not sure if they are available from GM, but worth a try. Might want to contact Gene at gmpartshouse.com and see if you can get one from them. Otherwise, you can go the used route that LoneStarFRC mentions.
Is Gene a member here or what is his contact information? Nevermind found him and sent an email. I will update when I find something out might help someone searching with a similar issue.
The problem with used is i "may" be getting something similar to what I have and end up with the same problem soon after replacing.

Thanks
If Steve has something on-hand, I would encourage you to take advantage of his offer. He's a valued member here and very knowledgeable as well. If there's any problem with something I'm sure he'll stand behind it all the way.
Individual replacement parts are NOT available new from GM, only the entire IPC.
I recieved that one and sent the payment. I sent an additional email with a couple of additional questions.
I asked if the 30 minutes was with the cluster out? (I assume yes).
How long for a pro to remove the cluster, and how long for a decent backyard mechanic. I swapped a 5.3 LS/4L60 into a 1972 GMC Jimmy so I am a fair backyard mechanic.
I recieved the bulb and just got around to installing it. Its not rebuilding an engine but a little more than "its a lightbulb, basic stuff" I took my time and cleaned a lot of stuff while it was apart.
