My battery exploded and speckled my fuel rail cover and intake manifold. I purchased new fuel rail covers already, however i can not decided if i should paint, replace, or cover the intake manifold. Any one know a paint that would match the black i could spray it on the car. Or any one have any luck with the intake manifold covers, i was thinking a spiral gray to match car. Or should i replace it all together either with stock manifold or FAST etc.

What kind of battery did you have? Any idea why it exploded? Pretty extreme...

I have an intake manifold cover on my '03 - two piece cover that is very easy to install. If you can find one like it, I think it looks great on the engine. Here's a pic:

If it were me I would remove the intake, Clean it up, Sand it smooth and paint it.
Now for the bad news, Are you aware the computer is located right under the battery and a bunch of vacuum lines you have to make sure the acid didn't get to them.
For the money you would spend on painted plastic parts you could change a few things up and show the true beauty of your motor! Theres enough plastic on our cars!

AC Delco - Factory Replacement. Car sits a lot, my thought is either the battery tender went bad, or the battery internally was never correct. Battery was 3 years old but was on the tender most of its life with no problems.

Hood was open when it blew acid went straight up and out a little, my garage door took the worst hit. I have it clean up and and a new battery in it with no problems for 6 weeks.
