Default Corbeau A4 seat install question

So I am planning on installing a set of Corbeau A4s this afternoon and have run into a little confusion.

From the forums here, it sounds like I need to install the driver's side seat on the passenger side, and the passenger side seat on the driver's side.

This I understand, but my question is: do I just swap the seats, or should I also swap the brackets too?

Your input is greatly appreciated.

I am planning the same install and believe it is just the seats so as to clear the seat belt retractors. I have attached the following link to a thread about installing the A4's and it links to a number of how to's. Good luck.

post pics when you finish.

HOT TIPS:

1. Drill a small hole in the reclining lever and run a piece of cord through is and make a loop. It will make it much easier to access the lever to adjust the seat when you want to.

2. The seats will sit too flat for most unless you raise the from about 3/4". Stack a couple washers between the rack and the seat bottom. Stack additional washers under the seat rack leaving enough stud to tighten the rack down.

Enjoy!

On your page you say use "(8) Metric M8 Lock Washers (Will use 4 of these per seat) "

I see where you use only 1 one per side of seat. Where do the other 2 go or am I missing something? Thanks

Some of the pics in the write up were from a different forum member.
I forgot to take pics when I installed mine.....
Sorry for the confusion.

The reason for adding washers is to give the front of the seat some lift.
Myself and others have found that the seat base sits rather "flat".

Its really up to you how many washers you install. It all depends on how much you want to "lift" the front of the seat.

I would try to even out the amount of "lift" you add (with washers) between the seat and the seat frame.... .and the seat frame to the car floor.

For example... I think I added a total of 3/4" lift to the front of the seat.
- I added 3/8" height of washers between the seat and seat frame
- I added 3/8" height of washers between the seat and car floor.

Make sense ?

Did you add a 5 point harness to these? or are you still using the factory seat belt? What's your over all satisfaction with the seats, esp vs stock Z06 seats.

May I chime in? I have the A4's in black leather with the sub belt slot to utilize a 5 point harness. Love the seats. Way better than stock. They are not all out racing seat but a great dual purpose street/track seat.

How hard was the 5pt instillation? I've never installed one before, the only ones i've seen used the brace that you install behind the seats to mount the belt to.

Do you have any pictures? Thanks for the input.
