Default Introduction

Thought it was about time I introduced myself, as I have been on the forum for a couple of months.
I am a long time American car fan in the UK. I have owned a couple of 2nd Gen Firebirds and an LT1 T/A that handled really well after much modification. I eventually got bored and fancied a change to a Vette.

I was originally looking at C6's but saw the C5 Z06 and had to have it.
My car has featured on these pages before under a previous owner...

I have owned the car for 5 weeks but haven't had time to do many miles. Hopefully next year that will change. Car is stock except tyres and CAGS delete and is staying that way!

The previous owner had a respray done to the front bumper and the paint match is not good. I have had a quote to get it sorted but its going to have to wait until after Christmas.

I finally found time to start cleaning my Vette properly this past weekend and you can find a few pictures here :

Valve springs are being replaced over the winter -better safe than sorry!

Thanks for looking.

If the column lock bypass has not been done you will want to do it before you are stranded somewhere. Lots of info on the forum about it.

At least consider an aftermarket catback. It does the heart good to hear the thunder of an American V-8 for those that seldom get such a treat. Welcome, mate!

Thank you all. I have given some thought to a cat-back but at the moment I'm just enjoying the car and if I'm honest the stock exhaust doesn't sound too bad.
Nothing like my headers/borla setup on the old Lt1 but still not bad. Maybe when I have some cash........ billy boat fusion!

Catback

GM put a lot of time and money into those lightweight Ti mufflers... if you want more sound, install headers and get some bite with the bark
