What Items Do You Store In The Console?
I keep my bean burritos in there so they are piping hot and ready to eat anytime.
Seriously, I'm afraid to store anything in that oven, the garage door remote doesn't even work if it has been in there.

wow really? i guess I got lucky with my vette-it's not even really hot when I get in it and it's black! BUT...I do live in a brick house, guess the garage is well-insulated or something I don't know-

I keep my garage door opener in mine. I also have some Kleenex, a power cord for the cell phone, and a digital tire pressure gage in it.

The heat inside my console is terrible. Something isn't right, I think I'll put the car up in the air and check it out. :confused:

I have been in Mesa when it was easily over 100 degrees...at least it is a dry heat. :D :lol:
In all seriousness, the heat comes from the engine and transferred into the tunnel along the driveline in the tunnel and the heat shield that Mallett Cars offers solves this problem.

Thanks for the tip. If the high temp inside the console is normal, I'll have to do something to cool it down. :crazy:
It sure is fun starting all over with a new Vette and having to mod or fix all the crap that would irritate the most I.D.G.A.S. owner. :lol:

I keep my insurance/regisrtation cards, cell phone carger, lots of change, and my $1 and $2.50 chips from Atlantic City for the next time I go there to tip the beer lady. :lol:

Seriously I keep my registration, insurance, sunglasses, cell phone charger, headset mic for cellphone, and receipts from Gas stations.
My center console also gets very hot.
