I had to do some early morning errands and it's a good looking day with the temps around 50dF when I was leaving so I figured I'd take the Vette. So I put the targa on and out I go. Now, this car inspires smiles anytime I drive it but with the cool morning air getting sucked in it really wants to chit and get. I've gotta schedule more early morning runs!
I don't miss the cold and snow--- but I do miss the beautiful colors of Fall . . . take your camera with you next trip, take a few photos of your car against a colorful back drop and post `em up ! Would enjoy seeing them.
Every year I make a leaf run up through the Catskills. It's in plan assuming the leaves cooperate. Not quite time yet though. Probably another week or so.
Travelling thru the northeast, in fall, is on my bucket list. I've been to visit much of our country; but never to the New England states yet. My wife has a dear friend in New Hampshire, and we plan to visit her, in fall, in the future.
The fall colors are very late here in the upper mid-west. Leaves are just now starting to turn. Usually much further along in that process, by now. Not sure what that means, if anything; as a portent of winter to come...
One should never leave home, in a Corvette, without a camera....

Rolling my way to Newport, RI this coming weekend with the gf to go see a friend's family who just moved up while he is posted to the War College.
Going to go out of our way into western Mass on the way home. We were in NH and ME two weeks back.
As a native to the region, I find the best driving not to be the main roads the tourists use but the true back roads through the middle of nowhere. If you ever get lost, just drive another half hour and you'll find a highway.... but I still try my damndest to get good and off the map out there. I may need to sneak up the Hudson river the following weekend.

That *MAY* end up to be a great time. Color is starting now, it just depends on how fast it progresses. A gorgeous drive is through New Paltz, over Minnewaska, over to Ellenville and then up the mountain where they handglide from. If you would like directions, give me a shout. If you hit it when the colors are peak and it's nice weather it's a great ride.
I agree that the cold temps wake it up. I have a Vararam on mine and its even more noticeable. Just a word of caution. Not only do you make more power, but your tires are harder. Not a good combination and you can find yourself going the opposite direction before you know it.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
