I can't believe you can't give your ol lady a stiff ride. Viagra?
I knew that one was coming
Her previous car was a Nissan 350Z with the Nismo R suspension on it. It rode like a skateboard with steel wheels and she loved it.
How many wives with an AARP card refuse to drive cars with automatic transmissions LOL That's why I married her [/QUOTE]
if she liked the nismo suspension, the only low cost choice that's going to feel similar is the full c5z package. springs, sways and shocks.
would not be surprised if some of our forum wrecking yards had those parts for sale. i know fosters auto parts in portland, or is parting a 2001 z06 as well
You didn't mention if her first car had the magnetic adjustable shocks. It was a well known problem that MANY dealers failed to remove the shipping spacers that were put there to keep from damaging the shocks during shipping (because of them not being powered up during shipping). leaving these spacers in caused a LOT of complaints of an excessively harsh ride regardless of the setting. It REALLY sounds like her first car had this problem. These cars do have a sporty ride,,but it is NOWHERE NEAR tech rattling,,,what she is experiencing is THE WAY THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO RIDE. I'm not much of a betting man,,,but I'd be willing to wager a few bucks that her old one was one of the adjustable suspension cars WITH she shipping spacers in. THEY rode like a buck board,,BUT that was NOT the way they were supposed to ride!!! Good luck getting this one settled without spending money Just try to convince her that this is the way they are designed to ride!!
