To each his own, but I can't drive a Corvette that sounds like an Accord.
I sold my '99 H/C coupe (bought it stock in 2000) a couple months back for $21K cash and its was faster and sexier the day I sold it than the day I got it. Just wish I could have bought it for $21K as it sits!
I'm now looking for a highly modded C6 Z06 or ZR1 so I can buy the mods for pennies on the dollar. My only requirement is that they meet me at a dyno so I can watch and hear it spin at full throttle (my treat of course). I'll let the dyno be the judge...

Actually, they'll buy pretty much anything, but if it isn't newer than 10yo and perfect condition, they won't keep it for resale. Everything else goes straight to auction.
oooops....yes, Carmax. And, when I talked to them a couple weeks ago they were interested because it is a Corvette, even if it is more than 10 years old.
I have done a few mods that have improved on the stock car. I don't plan on selling my car, put if I did the mods would not take away from the value of the car. I do agree some people go over the top with their mods. I would put this car up against any stock car, and it would hold its own.
vettemanjack, although i considered chroming my wagon wheels, i
left them painted.I have heard a lot of bad things about chrome plating aluminum parts, peeling etc Had a motorcycle years back that I had to change the wheels 4 times because of bubbling(finally sold it got so tired of bringing it back to dealer..Would however consider a really clean set of chrome Zo6 wheels.
