[Z06] 2002 Z06..Trans Leak??

2002 Z06..Trans Leak??
I just got my new Z two days ago and just noticed that there is a spot of oil the size of a quarter on the garage floor. I got under the car and sure enough its leaking from the trans :mad I wonder if anybody esle has had this problem?
The car has only 50 miles on it but I do love it so far.

I had a post about diff leak-don't know if that's what you are seeing? center, towards the rear of the Z06? Pink/red?

Mine has a slight tranny leak ... leaks ATF from the small vent hole on the bellhousing on the front of the tranny.
Mine sounds like alot smaller leak than yours though. Mine has only leaked ~3 oz in 2000 miles, and only leaks when the car is driven. For now, I'm just keeping an eye on the leak to see if anything else blows up (clutch, differential, etc) in the drivetrain. They can then fix eveything at once on warranty.
If yours is leaving a puddle on the floor, then it could need attention. You should first verify that it is leaking from the tranny somewhere, and not from the overflow tube because the level it way too high.
Check the level first, then go from there.

ZeeOSix, yours sounds like it's due to an over fill from the factory. I've heard if this before.

Thanks for the info gang. I jacked it up tonight and it leaking from the joint where the trans and the rear end mate up,hopefully just a bad seal.
