When unlocking the doors with the remote, I'll hit the unlock button twice to unlock both doors. The passenger side unlocks, but the drivers side doesn't. I'll try a couple more times and then it'll unlock. It will manually unlock just fine. It will also unlock with the key.
I've had it happen when using the remote OR when hitting the unlock switch from inside.
Is there some sort of door lock actuator that can be replaced to fix this?
It also doesn't happen every time. Usually once every couple weeks or so, but just happened two days in a row.
I have read about that issue, BUT when the door doesn't unlock I can still hear it "trying" if that makes sense. It's like something mechanical isn't "catching."
That's why I didn't think it was a loose wire or connection.
And when it happens, if I hit the switch to unlock the doors, the passenger side would unlock, but the drivers door would not.

I have the opposite problem. It's the driver side that does not lock when I use the FOB . Maybe we have the same problem. I will as mentioned try to see if there is a loose connection in the door.
..I think what you have here is, the lock mini -relays in the door modules going bad, I replaced mine a couple months ago.
There are posts on this forum describing the fix, you have to take the door panels off, remove (unplug) the modules, and solder 2 new little relays on each of ckt modules
Someone should chime in where this post was.
I will try to find the posts too.
But if your handy with this , It's really not a bad job at all.
If you go into the door you should be able to pinpoint where the sound is coming from. Could be a mechanical binding issue, motor actuator, or door module.
Here is a link for relay replacement. The pictures don't come up any more (at least for me) but the write up is enough along with relay info.
Had this exact same thing happen recently. I started by jiggling the wire harness by the door hinge and haven't had a problem since. Start there before you dig too deeply into the other stuff. Only takes a second to do this.

Yeah, it might be this. It's just so sporadic. Has not happened since I started this thread.
I had the same problem... exact same symptoms. Ended up replacing the locking relays. Taking the door apart is not difficult if you first go to Harbor Freight and spend $10 on a set of door panel tools.
I had help de-soldering and re-soldering the relays, but frankly it didn't appear to be that difficult, if you're handy doing stuff like this.
