Mine had the outline already on the liner so I used water based paint and put 3 coats on the C5 logo. Heat has not hurt it. Take the liner off and lay it flat to paint. Might want to degrease and paint the liner flat black as a good base first.
I love mine. Sure makes a difference in the underhood look.

Hiya..
Yeah, thats pretty cool.
Ive been emailing Steve...Just try to figure if I want to go for it...certainly adds some wow factor. If you dont mind me asking, what would something like that set you back?
I agree! This is what I painted under my C6 hood. Wanted so bad to keep from adding that one flame lick....had to keep it clean enough for the kids at car shows

I say if you can afford it.and have a cool idea..then go for it
Definitely HOT!
Its fun to watch as soon as you pop the hood the cell phones start appearing taking pics....
You can get it done a lot cheaper. I purchased a new hood pad @ approx. $120 then got in contact with a local kid taking an art class. This was his first project of this type but he had a great air brush portfolio, like I said, he was taking an art class and he actually used my hood pad as his final grade assignment. So, I'd suggest contacting the local community college and talking with the art department.
Good Luck
