Had GM bra for my '01 and it was great. Should've kept it when I had to sell it in '09 since I've since purchased an '04. As said it works fine with no scratches or rubs as long as it's not used daily.

Don't use Vinyl! Use the type that is soft nylon. I think they call it a Lingerie bra. Made of really soft nylon. Once in place it does not move and does not scratch or *rub* the paint. I ave 2 mirror covers to match. Works really well!
