Found it this a.m. while changing oil and installing the rear facia stiffeners
Leak is comming from the left side cover and dripping down onto the cross-member and blowing back.I believe that this is causing the black spots on the
rear of the car.Oh well,I was told they were bad to leak.I'll be cruisin' over to
Tom Jumper soon for repairs. :(
I'm sure you know to ask for David at TJ. He did mine and no leaks since then.

I had a leak on my 01 differential, and thought it was a seal. It turned out to be the O-ring seal on the rear cover. Evidently it had been pinched when originally installed. The dealer replaced it and not a problem since.
I had the car repaired today. They replaced the side cover on the drivers side.
Complete with a new bearing,axle seal & "O" ring.It came pre-assembled and
the tech said that GM's been replacing a bunch of them.I just came back from
really flogging the car and no leaks....so far. :D
I lived in Atlanta (Alpharetta) for 15 yrs before moving to Houston. I miss the winding roads of N. GA. All the roads around Houston are flat, straight and carry a 55 MPH speed limit.
