My wife said she wanted to take a trip to get out go the house so I recommended going to Bowling Green, Kentucky to go through the Corvette museum. She must really want to get out the house, she took me up on the trip. So if you have been would you please pass along any recommendations on places to eat, hotels/motels and sights to see. Also how to get to the Trail of the Dragon from there. We are in Texas. Thanks for all suggestions.
P.S. I will be happy to drive back a new C7 if you don't want to go after it. Please make sure you pay for it before I leave I don't want to be arrested for theft!!

i just did the museum , awesome , coming from texas go through nashville stay at omni suites if $ no object check out broadway in nashville for a day set up a plant tour at factory then do museum and tour same day its only an hr from nashville , i got you that far not sure about best way to the dragon , but good luck have fun
The director of the museum runs a Bed and Breakfast called the 1869 inn or something like that. We stayed at a B+B when we went and it was fun.
The museum and assembly plant are a must see. On our non-corvette day we went to Mammoth Cave and it was great, and I'm not usually into that sort of thing. HUGE caves. Wide open and not a big deal for those against tight spaces.
Be sure to drive the land between the lakes bridge leaving KY to the west....cool.
There are lots of fine hotels in BG so you can take your pick. The first visit will be the Corvette Museum which can take the better part of a day; bring your camera. They take reservations for the factory tour in advance so you will want to look at their website before leaving home. Mammoth Cave N'tl Park is a short drive up the interstate north of BG and Abe Lincoln's birthplace is close. You'll come through Nashville on your way so you might want to check some of the fun activities there as well.
