I have a 2003 M.Y.ZO6 that I,m thinking about selling.Before I try to figure out how to post picture's what can I expect to get for this car. It has 11,950 miles on it.
The interior is close to perfect, paint has about 3 nicks on it. Only thing done to this car was the GM upgraded valve springs, column lock bypass and after market radio. Paid 27,500 for it about 2 years ago..
Take a look first at this site, Corvette Forum and see what they are selling for.....then look at ebay, KBB etc. The above three sources should give you an idea/ball park number. Good luck.
You should get some good comps by using the FS section. Try posting in a few places (eBay, Cars.com, and of course here), the mileage will help you and I'd think that you'd limey find the right buyer on here.
not so sure. i have seen some low mile z16s 04s close at auction for 30k lately,
i don't think you'll see 27.5k but 25k wouldn't surprise me. the low mile cars are suffering in value only because low mile c6s are getting to be the same price. if prices are dropping on c5's it's sure not showing up at auction. then again most of those cars are 60-120k mile cars that sell in the teens which is a completely different type of buyer than you need
based on nada guides {which follow auction closes}
the car would sell fast at 22.5k with 24-25k do-able to the right buyer
dealer retail is 26k now
condition is the other major thing. does it have tires that are 3 years old or less? if no a buyer will want to replace those. have all the cooling hoses been changed? if no the car is 10 years old and a buyer will probably know it. fuel filter, trans and rear end fluid? brake fluid flushes every 3 years? annual oil changes? all that factors in
by the way, that same car with 100k miles is worth 17k trade and 20.5k retail. age is really playing a part in the value here as you see the mileage premium start to shrink. big big reasons behind this too, #1 is loans on cars over ten years, #2 is age starts to bring about problems just the same as mileage does.
kind of crazy isn't it. the difference between your car and a 100k car is 5 grand, maybe 6
