number 0f 2002 built
I read some where, possibly Car and Driver, that in 2002, GM Corvette sold around 14,000 vets, most likely because 2003 was the 50th anniversary edition. The produced around 7000 Z51's.
So keep those 2002"s in good condition !

Didn't they made up for it in 2003 and 2004. How would that make any difference in value? It's still a C5 after all

Here's the breakdown on 2002 production:
Coupes - 14760
Convertibles - 12710

And of those, 6106 coupes and convertibles had the Z51 option.

They built more 2002s than any other model year C5s, so don't hold onto too much hope that they'll appreciate more than any other year.

I suspect what options you picked would help
see a list of what options were bought i.e. only 8000 6 speeds it was a $1K option in 2002
less than 5000 two tops only 7000 Z-51 options.
so 35,000 total sold but what were the configurations?
pas

6000 out of 35K seems a fairly small number how many with the 6 m trans.
