Need help...Z06 synchro problem
Ok, first off, I've searched a lot on this topic and have found some answers but would like more. So I am looking to buy an 02 Z06 but the owner says it has problems shifting into 2nd gear. So I am thinking and so was he that it has a synchro problem. Yes it very well could be a smaller problem like alignment of the shifter or bad fluid, but I want to be prepared. I'm not looking to do anything crazy to the car so stock parts would be fine. Is it possible to replace just the synchro's or does everybody really rebuild the whole tranny? And now my real question, how much roughly am I looking at if I get the tranny overhauled (both, just the synchros or total overhaul)? Thanks for your input in advance!

And there would be additional labor costs for the removal and replacing of the transmission. I'm not sure how much less it would be for just the synchros.
