Upper/lower lumbar support won't inflate
My 2002 passenger seat upper and lower lumbar support won't inflate. the side bolsters work fine. I have replaced the seat switch.When I press the two buttons for the lower and upper back support nothing happens no motor function and no air from the pump., but the motor and the pump works fine for the side bolsters and the rest of the seat functions work as designed. Any ideas? If it is the pump anyone know where I can buy it new,I heard that you have to buy the pump and the motor together. Thanks in advance.

There is also a thread on here somewhere where someone took the pumps apart and cleaned them because the pump would run but not pump. He had detailed pics and everything. Didn't look too complicated either.

The most common cause is that the plastic part that connects the air tubes to the bags deteriorates and cracks. The tubes are usually okay. I did all of mine last spring when I recovered the seats. Used the blood pressure cuff bladder repair method and they work great - see here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...vil-style.html
