C5 diff WOO-HOO !!
I just picked a spare 3-rib differencial for a good price. Now it's time to start building that diff for the better !
Now i just need to find the thread that someone started a few weeks back on rebuilding a C5 rear.

Here's a thread I made a while back. Never finished it up with the motor mounts. Will post the procedure soon, but everything you need to know for building the diff is in there. Also, a service manual is a must. Good luck!

I would have just bought one from Rick Kim in the first place.

actually it's about the same price as sending it off to get built, maybe only slightly less to do it yourself the first time. however, it will cost substantially less if you do it yourself if you have done it once before and still have the tools/shims.
What really costs you are the kent moore GM tools and having to buy $300 worth of shims that are only available from the dealer, although these can be used for future builds. It's your call.

Is the casing the same for all ratios? If so Rick might take it for a core charge. GL.

The casing is different. If it was 3.15 it can be modified. The stock casing with 2.73's is just that, 2.73's. Sorry
