I did some work on my 02 Z06 this past spring/summer. Installed long tubes then later LS7 clutch setup. I used standard jackstands for the header install putting them on the front and rear suspension. When I did the clutch I had no rear suspension to put them under. I did not like the instability the average lifting pick gave me so I bought 2 new jack stands and modified 2 jacking pucks. The stands already had the hole in the tops so I milled the pucks to fit. Very stable now.

Oh now those are sweet! Are you going to offer to sell some to members? And if so, what brand of jack are those that will hold the round puck? This is a very nice set up!

Nicely done. Nothing like having a really stable jack stand under the car, especially one that will not damage any of the body parts like the rocker panels.
The jack stands are made by Esco. They also come with a rubber pad that mounts on top. At about $70.00 each they are not cheap but you get what you pay for. They are good for 3 tons.

Reverse Logic offers two versions of the ESCO jack stands. The model 10498 stands have a range of 13" to 21". We also have a custom shortened version, model 10499, with a range of 11" to 17". The price for both models is $130/pair including shipping.
The 10499 model has two positioning holes in the outer tube so the height of the post can be adjusted in smaller increments than the post on the 10498 stands.

I like the shorter style also. Would work great when I want to have the car on stands but don't want to have to jack it so high as with the taller ones that I already have.
That's exactly why I had ESCO custom make the stands for Reverse Logic. On my own car with the 10499 stands under the front jack points the tires are about 2" off the ground. With the 10498 stands the tires would be closer to 5" off the ground which is higher than necessary for the work I am typically doing.

After months of spotty availability I now have a steady supply of ESCO 10499 jack stands arriving at my warehouse in Philadelphia. The stands are available for $130/pair with the rubber padded flat top posts, or $160/pair with the custom posts with pivoting block for imports with a rectangular pocket in the jack points.
The advantage of the 10499 stands over the 10498 stands is that the shorter height does not require a floor jack with as high a top range to get the car onto the jack stands.
I expect to have pivoting flt top round pads available for the custom posts later this year.

The pads on the 10498/10499 flat top ESCO posts are 4.25" in diameter. That may be too large and interfere with the side skirts on some Corvette models. I attached a drawing of a pad I intend to make available later this year. This 2.5" diameter pad can be used in place of the pivoting block I currently offer with the ESCO jack stands for BMW and MB chassis.
