Default Introduction and my C5

Hey there guys, just wanted to introduce myself and say hi to everyone as I plan to be asking plenty of questions as I'm still fairly new to the C5 world. I'm a long time F-body guy and been a big part of the F-body world and LS1tech for a long time. I still own my pride and joy 97 Trans Am project and am in the process of rebuilding it to its once greatness. The downtime since its motor grenaded though finally was what it took to kick me into finally buying my other dream car. In September of this year after a long hunt I found my 98 coupe in Lovettesville VA setting well kept in a garage with only 19500 miles on it. I knew from the get go I wanted an arctic white car and even though I was looking for a manual FRC this deal was too good to walk on.

I met the gentleman who was the second owner and took a good look at the car. It was probably one of the cleanest cars i saw in my search and though it had a few things that wernt to my liking at first (firethrorn interior, coupe, and auto) after a quick drive it quickly grew on me. The next day I went to the bank and the rest is history. This car led a pampered life until I got my hands on it (those days are over). I do plan to keep this car fairly stock oriented less a few bolt ons as i want it to be a good reliable driver.

Ive done a few appearance mods and an intake and exhaust since I've had it and logged a ton of stupidly fun miles on it already (clocks at 24000). Not to much left to do but I guess whats left is the expensive stuff. I plan on doing wide rear quarters, black cup wheels, the carvaggio (or simular style) c-spoiler, and the carbon fiber zr1 lip and side skirts... considered maybe doing the c5.6 rear bumper but undecided still. As for interior id eventually like to install a double din when i can afford to buy the bezel and maybe some hydrodipped stuff and better seats.

Performance wise ill probably just go full exhaust and maybe a mild cam later on. Maybe a stall and gears eventually as well (the 2.73s kinda suck butt down low). Other than that the main goal is to keep it as streetable and comfortable as possible since my T/A has gone completely "because racecar"

I guess for a little about myself, I'm a photographer, a mechanic, a fabricator, do a lil bit of everything on the side from my actual 9-5. I've been in the automotive industry now for the better part of 10 years (started doing oil changes at the local quick lube at 16). I'm a car nut and while mainly a GM guy I have a big appreciation for all walks of car culture.

Well heres some pics of both of the rides. Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Yea I was determined to find a white... almost pulled the trigger on a dark spiral grey which was my second choice but glad I waited. Cant see it in the pics but the licence plate says "FROSTBIT" All my friends were shocked though, this is the first non-blue vehicle I've ever owned lol
