Default Ti Exhaust Bypass Modification Help DFW Area

Just purchased my first Vette, an 02' Quicksilver Vert about three months ago. Only took me 51 years but I finally got her. New to the forum but I can tell you it has been an invaluable source of information over the last three months.

Just finished my first project. Sent the stereo, climate control and all the interior switches to Dave's Corvette Illuminations. He fixed the LCD on the climate control and upgraded all of the bulbs to LED's. It looks fantastic. I highly recommend Dave if you have this project in mind. Great guy to do business with.

Now it's on to some performance upgrades. I purchased a titanium ZO6 catback system that I'm going to pair up with a set of LG long tube pro headers and high flow cats. I want to get the bypass modification done to the Ti catbacks before doing the install. I was hoping someone could help me find, or recommend, someone in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area that can do this type of work on the titanium exhaust.

Thanks

check this site. My Corvette is done there with a double bypass exhaust. I know this person and they send it also worldwide.

BTW, you need two.

Thx,

Just a thought that could save you some money.

From what I've heard, the Ti exhaust gets considerably louder with LT's than without. In fact, I was reading a thread just the other day where more than one member removed their loud catbacks after installing headers and installed Ti's because of the excessive noise and droning. If you do the by-pass mod, it may get too loud for you. I am sure that someone that has done it could comment.

If not, I would suggest that you install the headers and stock Ti's without doing the mod. If it's too tame for you, get the mod done after. It's not too difficult to remove them.

I have a 402ci with LG LT's, large cam etc. and i pulled my borlas off because it was just too much and stuck the Ti's back on it and it is perfect--loud when you go WOT but still enough rumble at idle.

Yup.

I have headers and X-pipe on my '01 coupe with a big stroker motor. It is plenty loud with stock Ti's, especially at anything more than half throttle. Go WOT and they wail like a banshee. There's just a nice, lumpy burble at idle and no drone at all cruising along at 70.

Right, headers make them louder. A cam, even louder. Heads and Cam, you start forgetting you have stock factory exhaust.

Thanks for the input guys. I think I will take your advice and try the headers and stock Ti exhaust before making modification to the cats. Thanks for the information on Dallas Performance and the Guerrilla bypass system. Both viable options
if the headers and stock Ti cats don't give me what I'm looking for.
