If you had a Thread on this before did you post your success there and what you did? I am rather disappointed (polite wording) when people ask for help here and then never update the results. People use these Threads to search for problems and solutions. Not trying to be the Grinch, Merry Christmas, Mr. Sam

The C5 corvettes are very fickle about their alternators that little computer chip can be a paon. I went though a couple before finally getting my original rebuilt locally which ended up being cheaper in the long run

I thought about that and after reading on here, I called a local ac delco dealer whom is a great friend of our...and he took really good care of me on a brand new one with no core charge so now I can take apart my old one and do something custom with the case

Great to hear your issue is resolved. I know the good feeling of that.

I've been helped by good advice, more than once, from members here on the forum.
I see it as kind of a 'pay it forward' type thing. Many members with lots of knowledge about these cars, are always willing and eager to help.

And I wish to thank those who have helped me in the past; and no doubt will in the future, when I need it. At this holiday season, and on regular days, as well.
The things I've learned along the way, I'm always eager to share with others, if it can be helpful.

Truthfully, I sometimes wonder if I'd continue to own a Corvette (out of warranty), if it were not for this forum.

Anyway, good feelings from problems resolved; for sure. Hoping everyone's new year approaching is a good and happy one.
