Hi,
Has anybody wired in a hidden "Kill Switch" in their C5? I used to add them into pre-computer cars long ago but not sure if that is possible anymore. I'm shipping my car down to Florida and it will be in a garage at a house I'm renting. I won't be there on weekends so I thought a little extra insurance would help. If you know how please PM me a schematic. Thanks!
I just found an old thread that answered my question. I did search General & Tech but it didn't come up. Yahoo search and up it came! Anyways, wiring in a toggle switch on my M6 clutch switch. Done! I think that will be very effective and simple. Case closed!

That's exactly the method I used several years ago. Using the clutch switch is perfect for 6-speed cars.

When I had to bypass the VATS system and solder in resistors to give the computer the Ohm value is was looking for I also installed a small switch in line. Hides perfect right behind the ashtray. Just remember that you turned to SOB off before you freak out that your car wont start!
Couldn't you pull a couple of fuses and not have to worry about hooking up a switch? Then put them back when you're ready to move the car ... just a thought and save a few bucks and time.

Time? The act of having to remove/re-install a fuse each time you park your car becomes a royal PITA and that leads to eventually not doing it all, not to mention the eventual wear-and-tear on the fuse/fuse box itself.
A well hidden switch that's convenient to you, is not only cheap, it saves time and is FAR more likely to be used on a regular basis.

I meant for his storage ... not daily use - for that a switch is best of course !
