Just finish a Borla X pipe on a Z06 exhaust with BBK shorty headers and could not be happier with it. After the headers and Ti exhaust I was happy with the sound level and throatiness of the Ti exhaust, but the motor boating and unevenness of the sound at idle was not what I expected. So after reading on the forum and YouTube decided that an X would be the way to go and bingo hit it on the head.
Install was easy, quality of the Borla pipe was excellent, cut the mid pipe with a saws all slipped all together and lined up the tips, tightened up flange bolts and even sound at idle, no motor boating when you back of the throttle and believe it or throttle response feels better don't know why, but does but it does.

Well done. I had a lot of resonance and popping in my '00 with the B&B Route 66 exhaust on it and I installed an X-pipe. Cured 99% of those issues and made the exhaust sound great.
