they were on my z06 when I bought her, they were new with this being almost 3 years ago..i was not really impressed with them to be honest, they seem to be a bit more of a harder tire , they did not grab for anything when it was wet out...if you can get them cheap I say go for it..but other then that I would keep looking
I just took a set off the '01Z06. I loved them, but they are not now made in Z06 sizes. We had over 50,000 miles on the rears. Ended up putting Bridgestones on it.
I bought these tires when I upgraded to wider (chrome) wheels for the AE.
The tires are okay, a good buy for the price, but not "all that" in the biggest picture. They are SUMMER tires and don't have much grip at all in weather below 40'. They do look good, have a wide cross-section and tread width, and are quiet.
As said in an earlier post, if you can pick them up on the cheap, get them. Do take a look at the build-date to be safe.
I thought I would hate the Wide Ovals but I really loved them. They're a very good summer tire and they seem to last forever. Plenty of grip for a normal street tire in the dry. Mine came on the car when I bought it used and 20,000 miles later they still have lots of tread left. I would recommend them to anyone living in a warm climate.

Thanks, since I live in Florida they my be a good buy of me.

Good luck
these tires were a pleasant surprise for me. Back in '06 I needed new tires bad and figured I'd grab these for a season because they were cheap.. They were great for what I needed! Only drive in spring and summer here. GL
I had them on my 98 vert when I bought it. I replaced the rears with Nitto same size. Very noticeable difference in sidewall. The Firestones were much stiffer and did not tram line. The Nittos tram line horribly and there is a very noticeable sway back and forth due to what I believe to be sidewall softness. I liked them very much and if they are only one year since manufacture I would buy them. Good luck.
[QUOTE=randyfl;1585837286]Is anyone is running these or have run them please give some feed back.
I found a good deal on 2 rears (brand new) just want to make sure they are not junk.
Was wondering if you purchased/installed these tires and if so, do you like them? Am looking at these for my C5, vs. Goodyear Eagle F1 all-season tires.
As I said in the thread above I had them and loved them. I would check the manufacture date as they were discontinued. Even though they are new if they are old new stock a word of caution.
Had the Firestone wide oval indy put on my Vette on Saturday. They replaced the GY run flats. 1st impression, they are quieter, much quieter, and the ride is smother, like night and day. They are a Summer tire, so if your in snow, or extreme cold, these are not for you. For me, I live in the desert, so they work great. Rarely rains here, so I can't comment on rain handling, but they are grippier than the run flats, but aren't as stiff in the sidewall so hard cornering is a bit different, little softer. I don't auto cross anymore, so for normal driving these are a great value, and much better than the run flats. Total cost for all 4 tires installed was 692 out the door

Thanks for the reply.. Good to know they worked out for you.
I decided to go with BFG Comp-2's, based on reviews in CF as well as Road and Track, Car&Driver.
WTB: 1 FS Wide Oval 295/35R18 for '03 ZO6, preferably as new as possible. After 1 original was damaged and replaced by an orphan, I want to get back to a complete set. Bruce, in the Pacific NW.
I had the wide ovals on my C4. Bought them new but never liked them. I live in South Carolina but found this tire a little to hard for me. I like a softer tire and the wide oval did not work for me. JMO.
