If I was to buy a new Windshield for my 04Z from the dealer, do they come with the rubber seal and or moldings on it already pre set on the windshield from the Manufacture?
If you have comprehensive insurance, have one of those auto glass companies do it. They did a fine job for me and it was free. I would guess a dealer would be a lot more money.
Ditto got a GM OEM windshield and frame at zero cost

Windshield was cracked. Went to insurance company's glass shop and talked to the installer. Told him I wanted an OEM windshield not some aftermarket one. HE SUGGESTED that I get a new frame moulding as well. He ordered both. Took a few days to get the parts. Went there and he replaced the frame and windshield in about 2 hours.
What comprehensive insurance is for.

Yes. I had two windshields on my GMC and one on my Vette replaced in a two year period. All covered on my insurance.
Insurance isn't my problem car is fully insured the body shop asked me question about it he thought when the windshield is replaced it comes with gasket and mouldings or they have to be replaced with windshield.
you have to get the moldings due to how they are glued in on the coupes, some of the more experience auto glass guys can reuse the moldings but its hard due to how they are glued in...on the coupes..
I'd just use Safelite, but what ever one you get, you should look into getting it Tinted before install (not actual color tint, but it blocks something like 97% of the UV, keeping the car cooler and protecting the interior from UV damage) as its a lot easier and cheaper to do before its installed.

That is what I was looking for. My moulding broke and when you look at it closely it looks as if it's bonded on windshield.
My problem with a C5 coupe was that Safelite Glass would not replace the windshield without replacing the top weatherstrip which was discontinued by GM. Corvette Rubber now has an aftermarket top weatherstrip available. I ordered one and it was recalled before it arrived as some problems with the first batch arose, but they sent a better one right away.
