So, I noticed yesterday that my black C5 was all of a sudden running rough and threw the P0300 code. This started after the last round of exhaust manifold changes I did to de-mod the car so I figured I either didn't connect one or more of the plug wires back properly or I cracked one or more of the plugs by hitting it accidentally with one of the manifolds.
I picked up a set of plugs just in case and pulled the wires and plugs this morning and found this. I got lazy this time and didn't pull the plugs when I did the exhaust work. It was cracked in two places. Popped the new plugs in and she's smooth as ever.
I put one of my C5's back to stock wrt intake and exhaust to prep it for sale. In California, a used car has to have passed an emissions test within 90 days prior to sale. Otherwise, I'd have to sell it out of state.
Nice. I seem to nick the spark plugs every time I pull the headers, no matter how careful I am! Still haven't broken one yet. Glad it was a cheap fix for ya
