Exposed? I hardly think so. It's not like you're going to remove the oil fill cap and let air freely circulate into the engine. And yes, JR, I would consider the oil to still be fresh. It doesn't matter whether the oil in the crankcase is new or used, it's still going to be subject to temperature and humidity changes. Nothing you can do about that (unless you have the luxury of being able to store your vehicle in a controlled environment). But just because it's subject to those environmental changes doesn't turn fresh (or new) oil into used oil. Running the engine over time does that. So just sitting in a crankcase over the winter should have no effect on the oil come springtime.

And we're talking sludged up so bad you can't see the rocker arms, and the cars still ran over 100,000 miles.
I think you forget that oil and water (moisture) don't mix. And any moisture in a crankcase, whether it be filled with new or used oil, is going to burn off rather rapidly and not be an issue.

although you never drank out of the soda and it just went from its original seal to another... would you still want to drink the soda after a week ? No right cause more likely it will be stale... haha idk if that makes sense to anyone else but thats my whole view in this..

FWIW oil changes are not too hard to do and it doesnt cost much to do. in the end its up to you what you want to do.. just make sure to warm up oil to operating temp if its been sitting for a while
If they ever start carbonating motor oil, you might have a valid point, Kreeess, but I really don't think that's EVER going to happen, so your "view" makes absolutely no sense.

Now if you were just trying to be humorous, I think you made your point.
