Yet another lift option...
I do have my Kwik Lift for Heavy-Duty maintenance It would solve all my lift issues if I were to keep it assembled all the time (I know that some people lay theirs flat and park on it!). The problem with that in a smaller garage like mine where I do lots of detailing on my car, I would be tripping over it all the time and it would be a hassle in general (keeping the floor clean, etc). So I only use the Kwik Lift when I have a major undertaking.

I recently purchased some of Smith Fabrication's CBA (Cross-Beam Adapters). Of course, for the rear, jack clearance is no problem, but for the front of the car, you have to get underneath with the jack first! I know some people just drive up on boards or ramps for clearance, but I was looking for another solution where I could use them in case I could not move the car and I don't trust Jack Stands by themselves (paranoid... I know). I do have some new Jack Stands from US Jack (Made in USA) that are great and will be used with the CBAs when the wheels have to come off, but I still prefer some back-up supports.
One thing I came across was "MyLiftStand" (http://www.myliftstand.com). This is a pretty slick alternate solution for lifting the car straight up. The beauty over the Kwik Lift is that they are relatively lightweight (I can carry them with one hand), they stack neatly when not in use taking up little floor space, and are very fast to set up. Their web site has an in-depth video showing how they work. I just used them for the first time yesterday to get the car quickly in the air to where I could place the CBA in position, but since I was just changing out my end links I kept them in position for added safety. Note that in my photos they are still in the lowest-collapsed position, so you can get the car pretty high (as high as the KwikLift) if you use four of them and crank them to the full-up position. I still would add Jack Stands under the side rails or the CBAs as a back up if laying under the car, but honestly these are built very solid (Made in USA as well).

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Just put together a file in Adobe Illustrator and took it to the local Fast Signs to have them vinyl cut on their EDGE-cutter. Same thing with my chrome-vinyl Hurricane Intake stickers...

You have to contact Bill Gibbs at MyLiftStand for a current accurate Price Quote with shipping to your address. They are heavy, so shipping is pretty hefty. In fact if the shipping had not been so high, I would have purchased a second set on my initial order. My stands were about $265 + nearly $100 shipping! Shipping was almost the same price as one stand! But online shipping charges these days are either out of sight or FREE?
