Bit the bullet and placed an order for a Corsa exhaust# 14962 it has the 4"tips and comes with the X pipe. Hoping this is something I can install in my garage without all too much trouble. If y'all got an tips please share em with me :-)

hardest part is taking off the factory axleback, just make sure you lift the car up high enough to manipulate the pipe

Don't have any install tips, but shouldn't be too much work. You are going to love that exhaust though. I got one last year and get compliments everywhere I go. Here's a couple videos.

Unless you plan to cut the stock exhaust pipes, you will need to get the car between 32-36" in the air to get the stock system off in one piece. What I would do is check with a local muffler shop and see what they would charge to swap the systems for you. I did this when I installed a set of B&B Route 66 catbacks on my previous C5 and was charged $50. Well worth it to not have to deal with getting the car up in the air safely.

Keep in mind that the Base C5 catback exhaust is completely worthless. So go ahead and cut them off. I don't think it's worth risking your life and raising the rear of your car three feet in the air to get them out in one piece. You can't even give them away for free. Unless, you plan on going back to stock one day.
Another piece of advice I can give is make sure to measur twice and cut once when installing your x-pipe. If you cut too short, you are screwed so make sure you have measured properly. I used a chaincutter to make perfect chamfered cuts. Much cleaner than using a sawsall.

I have also found that it is sometimes difficult to get a perfect seal at the exhaust flanges between the x-pipe and the catback. I solved this by using two gaskets for each flange. I now have a perfect seal.

Yikes, Thank you guys for the info. I didn't know there was cutting involved I was thinking unbolt the old and bolt back up the new. With the amount of money spent on the system I'm now thinking I might just hit the local muffler shop and see what they want to install. No stress for me and should be guaranteed to not have any leaks.

Get some PB Blaster on the screws and unbolt it. You should not have to cut. I always do my own exhaust.
