Changing my heater core
Ok I asked this before but maybe someone has done this that hasn't seen my post. I have the dash out of my car it's a 99 c5 . But I still can't get the hvac unit out . What am I over looking . I unbolted the bar that goes from one side of the car to the other side. Still no head way .i talked to the dealerships in my area but I'm not paying 1200 bucks for them to do this if anyone has any links or know how to do this please help me

If you go to a search engine like Google, and search for C5 heater core replacement, there is a very good article on the forum with pics. If I knew how to send a link that worked I would. I did a search of the forum and didn't get it, but that's just me not knowing. This is what I found, hope it helps.

Yeah I got the hvac unit out of the car. Ok there is a bolt on top of a bolt that holds the ac lines to the fire wall. Remove them two and out she come.if I had looked for this the first time I took all of the dash out I wouldn't be looking for a BCM right now. If you are going to fix your own heater core, look for the hidden bolt on the ac lines.
