SWEET!!!!! I was a Hot Wheels kid. Had the big track with the two little Turbo Booster housings that would shoot the cars out at high speed. Probably couldn't even get something like that to market these days with all of the stupid safety vultures out there!

Yep. I remember it well. My brother and I got the original Mongoose & Snake drag set for Christmas when we were kids in 1970.

It looked just like the pics below. It dropped the checker flag on the winning lane and popped the drag chutes at the end of the run. We played with it for hours. Fun stuff!

every kid in my neighborhood had hot wheels my younger brother and I got the snake and mongoose set for x-mas one year.

Very cool. I fact, when I was a kid I followed the Snake/Mongoose rivalry as it was one of the best in NHRA.

I can still remember the sound that the cars made on the track and doing the loop. Two loops in a row was cool.
