In 2004, I was in a position to get my first Corvette, I was lusting after a Z16 but my wife would have nothing of it. I had to settle for the CE Vert in the same color with the slate interior. Well things moved on and I still have the vert. Got a C6 Z in 08 and kept it till last year. Sold it and got a 13 ZR.
Wanted to get into a little tracking but once again the wife put her foot down and she would not let me take the ZR.
So, I was in a position to pickup this Z16. 18K miles. It has coilovers, sway bars, seats, and harness. Byt h
Can't wait to get it on the track! I guess listening to wife pays off in the long run!!!
By the way, I crossed the VIN to the list on the corvette action center list and I believe I have number 7.

Reason: added sequence number
You still have the convertible? Let's see all three together.
I do still have the vert. I just had come back from a the bro in laws to show him the Z16. I gave the ZR a quick bath and parked for the pic.
If I had a little more time I would have pulled it up too. When I do that I will use more than my camera phone!! LOL!

Very cool. I used to be a multi Vette owner and will be again some day.
I told my wife a couple days ago that I wanted to add a Viper ACR in five to seven years and she went through the roof it didn't help matters that I just broke fourth gear in my Z06 the previous Saturday

yea, me too... things were flush in the construction biz a few years back. I had an 02 Z06, a 92 ZR-1 and a 94 6 speed vert.... also a 79 Z28 and a pretty sweet BMW 745li..... ahh, those were the days.
Obviously the ZR is a beast. So there is no comparison. I just love that blow whine. The 04 has about 390rwhp and to be honest it really surprised me. with the suspension being set up, I really like driving it. It has a little of that hardcore feel to it. It is gonna be my little hot rod!
And two totally different corvettes, it still makes me smile to hear how significant the c5z is today......it's just a special car with its own unique vide.
