Okay so i have a c5 vette with a D1 procharger. All the pulleys are for an 8 rib belt but when i got the car there is a 6 rib on it and its eating away on the one side. i checked the alignment and its off so i know that needs to get fixed. The engine is an Ls6 fully forged its at around 600hp now. My main concern is, is the belt going to slip from the power?

Put flip drive on it. Only one way to make sure on the alignment.
yea i have been looking into that, i just wanted to see if there was another way or if i definitely needed it. I guess that is the way to go then. thank you
yea that is what im doing now before i go with the flipdrive. fixing the alignment and going with an 8 rib belt and looking to see if my tensioner is weak. hopefully it will help.
It is odd because on the procharger pulley the belt is pushed all the way towards the engine side and on the alternator side the belt is pushed toward the nose of the car on the pulley. The only thing i did so far was order a new alternator pulley just because it was a little rusted, but should i take the procharger mounts off and get them shaved the 1/16th of an inch so the procharger sits back a little bit?

buy the gates laser and make sure it is properly calibrated, there is a really helpful thread in the forced induction forum on how to properly calibrate the laser... once that is done then check the alignment of your pulleys... I had a horrible experience installing my d1sc but I learned a ton, if I ever have to do it again I know what to look for and how to fix it... my belt was trashing itself just idling, the pic below is what it looked like after running for less than a minute!... my blower pulley was 1.5 ribs out towards the front of the car which was causing it to walk off the pulley and shred the belt... turns out that my kit is 8 rib compatible and there should have been a spacer behind my blower pulley since I am only running the 6 rib at the moment, but that spacer wasn't there to begin with... after getting the proper spacer everything is spot on and it runs perfectly, no belt dust or anything... hopefully your's will be a simple fix as soon as you spot the problem
